New Year. New Coach


Ladies!

It's a new year and the women's soccer team has a new head coach. We welcome Coach Emalee Tate.

Coach Tate comes to us from Viewmont High School where she was Soccer Team Captain, Defensive Player of the Year and was selected by Deseret News to be on the 2nd Team in 2003 & 1stTeam in 2004. Upon graduating Coach Tate signed with the University of Utah. While attending the"U", she earned the Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete Award from 2005-2009. While attending the “U”, she was the Soccer Team Captain earned an Athletic Letter from 2005-2009. She was chosen as the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week on two different occasions.

During the summers Emalee would play in the WPSL (Semi-Pro) and was chosen as the National Goalkeeper of the Year in 2008 by the Arizona Rush WPSL-Semi-Professional Team, as well as a member of their All American First Team and selected as the Big Sky Conference Goalkeeper of the Year.

Coach Tate is a graduate from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a Physiology Emphasis & a Nutrition Minor. Coach Tate began her coaching helping out for summer camps at the "U". She has done personal goal keeper training throughout Davis County and currently has been a GoalKeeper and Head Coach for Utah Rush/Forza Soccer Club in Bountiful, UT.

Coach Tate is excited to bring her knowledge to CHS and begin a new tradition!
